The first two Jupiter Neptune conjunctions correlated pretty well with peaks in the number of reported cases of H1N1. I know things have settled down a bit in North America but in the Southern Hemisphere things are looking grim. In one Australian Aboriginal community, Palm Island, 1 in 10 people are infected, and another 6 people died today in New South Wales, the state where i am now.

In the past couple of days the two champions of the two top female sports have retired.
Justine Henin Hardenne (tennis) and Annika Sorenstam (Golf).
These two sports are significant for women as far as parity with their male counterparts in popularity and respect (and earnings too).
I do not have these athletes’ individual charts but thought it interesting as an obvious universal signal nonetheless.
I use the Sidereal zodiac and there have recently been major shift using that stellar Zodiac.… Continue

Every desire, even the desire for liberation, is actually a personal desire -- something related to the world and our self as an individual. When someone says they desire liberation, often what they really mean is they want liberation from their suffering so that they can fulfill their highest worldly desires. This not to say that desires are "bad", just limited - that is why 2 of the houses are cruel. (the 3rd and 11th)
Liberation is not something that we can achieve, so to speak. It is someth… Continue

Mars is now in Cancer - his sign of debilitation. We may see recent verbal battles abate and a gentler approach now possible. I can speak for myself and say that last week was quite an emotional one for me, reminiscing about childhood, looking to reconnect with family. Feeling Mars release his bond on Gemini was quite cool.
The sign of Aries holds and exalted Sun as well as Mercury and Venus for much of this week, showing this to be a good time for initiating business endeavors, especially of a… Continue

The fourth house, and in a deeper sense, the qualities of moksha are difficult understand because we spend so little of our time or attention on them. It is very tempting to start attaching actions to every facet of life. Yet, actions really come through masculine principles of planets, signs and houses. So now we are discovering not only are planets and signs masculine and feminine -- but also the houses are odd and even - masculine and feminine. Yes, it gets rather tricky.
The fourth house sp… Continue

Mars is now finishing his transit through sidereal Gemini, a sign he has occupied since last September. Mars is currently at about 20° sidereal Gemini. Since the end of last September we have had many opportunities to strengthen our communication skills and interaction with life's many details in all areas. There's especially been quite a lot of bickering possible and dissension over the details. "First you said that, and he said this, now you're saying that, blah blah blah". It was not long aft… Continue

Jupiter rules children. It is one of the best illustrations of how the worldly thing at planet brings into our life also shows the developing psychology and consciousness that results. I'm developing more of these examples for each planet.
As was said last night, Jupiter is a planet on expansion and creativity of all sorts. That notion and idea within us that life, consciousness and our very Self is a very big thing comes from Jupiter. Children are literally an extension of our body. When we ha… Continue

Hey Folks,
This is a video response I have made to James Randi - a person who debunks hoaxes and other paranormal / metaphysical types. If you think this makes a good case for astrology tell your friends about it.
James Randi has made quite a name for himself by debunking psychics, metaphysical phonies and other type of things. Unfortunately he also puts on bogus experiments that claim to debunk astrology, such as the one shown in this video.… Continue

Mercury and Venus have been very close to each other in the sky, less than 1° from each other now for several days. This makes for a lot of creativity in the material, worldly sense. Capricorn is a sign of sustained growth and things of long-term value. You've probably been feeling quite creative and been getting a lot done this week. This is why and it will continue for much of next week as well.

Lunar eclipse of February 20, 2008.
This eclipse takes place in the sign of Leo. This full moon is joined both South node and the planet Saturn. There’s been a lot of activity around Saturn for the last couple of years. The solar eclipse on February 6, 2008 is one of the more interesting
ones I have seen in a while. Not only will there be an eclipse at that
tim e, but retrograde Mercury will be directly conjoined the sun and
moon at the time it is eclipsed. Mercury will be closer to the Earth at
that this time than he is at… Continue

A Tale of Astrology Crisis and Redemption

So, I did a really stupid thing today. We'll actually, I did a couple really stupid things. One stupid thing compounds another.
Now I know what you're thinking. "But Sam, I thought you were perfect, rockstar, astrological superhero (ha ha). Well, yes I am as a matter of fact, but sometimes I can be a real klutz. Here's what happened.
Stupid thing #1 So, I'm teaching this free class on Monday night, a free tele-class which should be great. I already have over a hundr… Continue
